Networking at FRI: Great Opportunities This Year for Members, Attendees and Sponsors to Get Together

Welcome Reception

The Welcome Reception was once again a huge success this year! Over 1,000 attendees enjoyed delicious appetizers and drinks while networking with new and old colleagues and with IAFC staff members. Rounds of poker and Texas Hold ‘Em were played and prizes were awarded. Hosted again by 1-800-BoardUp, this event was a definite crowd pleaser and a great way to kick off the conference.

Fit-to-Fight 5K

One of the later networking opportunities during FRI week is the Fit-to-Fight 5K, and a number of people once again got together to get fit and run for a good cause—helping to raise money for the education of future leaders. Proceeds from the race benefit the IAFC Foundation, providing scholarships to first responders for advancing their fire service education.
