Training for Regional Collaboration (TReC)

Past national emergencies have proven that collaboration between first responders is an essential component to providing efficient and effective delivery of public safety services. TReC is a training program developed to educate first responders on the importance of working together to build partnerships, utilize resources and create comprehensive preparedness strategies. TReC is funded by DHS/FEMA’s National Training & Education Division (NTED). The training is free and will be offered in each FEMA region. The program will bring together an audience of mid-and-senior level decision makers from multiple disciplines, including:
Training ProcessTo maximize participant’s training time, TReC uses an innovative blended learning program, which combines web-based training, baseline collaboration data gathering (BCDG) and instructor-led training.
Upon completion of the training, participants will have the tools to implement successful collaborative practices with essential partners in their local and regional response areas. They will also receive a certificate of completion. Training is currently under development. |
