The IAFC’s annual Safety, Health, and Survival Awards recognize individuals within departments and entire organizations, of any size or composition, who have made a significant contribution to the overall environment of health and safety in the fire service.
Take a few minutes today to nominate the people and organizations who continue to pave the way for improved safety, health and survival in the fire service! The nomination period closes at 11:59 PM ET on July 15. Awards will be presented during the Safety, Health and Survival Section meeting at Fire-Rescue International (FRI) in August.
Alan Brunacini Fire Service Executive Safety Award, Sponsored by Provident Insurance:

Sponsored by Provident Insurance, this award is presented to a chief executive officer of a fire department (of any size or composition) who has demonstrated a unique commitment to fire service health and safety.
To be nominated, the chief and/or the fire department must be an active member of the IAFC.
Billy Goldfeder Fire Service Organizational Safety Award, Sponsored by VFIS:
Sponsored by VFIS, this award is presented to fire service organizations (of any size or composition) and individuals that have demonstrated an outstanding commitment or significant contribution in fire service health and safety. Fire departments, public agencies, private companies, or other organizations that are affiliated with or sponsors of the IAFC may be considered for this award.
To be nominated, a fire chief must be a member of the IAFC. For a fire department to be nominated, the chief and/or the department must be a member of the IAFC.
Chief Sandy Davis Safety Officer of the Year, Cosponsored by MSA and FDSOA:
Cosponsored by MSA and FDSOA, this award is presented to a safety officer in a fire department (of any size or composition) who has made a significant contribution to their organization and/or the fire service as a whole in the area of health and safety.
To be nominated, a safety officer must be an active member of both the IAFC and FDSOA, hold a position as a health and safety officer and/or incident safety officer, and be certified by FDSOA as a Health and Safety Officer and/or Incident Safety Officer.
Garry Briese IAFC Safety Performance Award, Sponsored by WHP Trainingtowers:
Sponsored by WHP Trainingtowers, this award is presented to an IAFC SHS Section member in recognition of personal commitment and achievement in health and safety.
To be nominated, the SHS member must be an active member of both the IAFC and SHS Section.
