Human trafficking is a crime and a human-rights abuse involving exploitation of persons through the use of force, coercion or fraud. Many trafficking locations are visited by fire-rescue departments and people there receive treatment by medical personnel.
This webinar, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the U.S. Fire Administration (USFA) helped EMS and fire personnel identify indicators of potential human-trafficking victims and situations; allowing notification to appropriate authorities for further investigation.
