Human trafficking is a crime and a human rights abuse involving exploitation of persons through the use of force, coercion or fraud.  Many trafficking locations are visited by fire services and treated by medical personnel.

This webinar, in partnership with the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Fire Administration, will assist EMS and fire personnel in identifying indicators of potential human trafficking victims and situations; allowing notification to appropriate authorities for further investigation.

Takeaways:

  • To define human trafficking
  • To identify trafficking indicators in patients
  • To identify potential trafficking reporting options

Presenters:

Kaitlin Seale, Department of Homeland Security
