This 1 hour web-based training strives to improve the knowledge regarding the mechanisms, attitudes and conditions within the volunteer fire service that prevent membership diversity. This course provides an overview of how to have an increased awareness of the misconceptions that cloud the understanding of under-resourced communities, increase knowledge of the steps to collaborating effectively with these communities, and increase interest within members of these communities in partnering and volunteering with local volunteer fire departments.
