Fail Fest

Thursday, August 8 | 6 - 9 PM | B214
Fail Fest is a celebration of mistakes and mishaps, but more importantly recognizes failure as a key part to innovation, growth, and improvement. The Firefighter Near Miss Reporting System, a program based on capturing these types of mishaps, is looking to bring the lessons learned from failures to FRI.

The event has a similar atmosphere to a celebrity roast, except the speakers will “roast’ themselves in a blunder they committed in their own career. In this hilarious, fast-paced after-hours event, participants hear from speakers who will share their “fail” tales. The audience will hear how the speaker failed but learned from their mistakes.
Tickets must be purchased for this event.

Diversity Breakfast

Friday, August 9 | 7 - 8:30 AM | B206
The diversity breakfast is a great place to engage with other leaders interested in fostering diversity and inclusiveness in their department and throughout the fire and emergency service. Together, attendees bring unique perspectives as they work toward shared goals that will move us forward with a united mission. This year's keynote speaker is Bryan J. Hill, County Executive, Fairfax County, Virginia (pictured on the right).
This event is not included in the All-Access package and does require an additional ticket.
