Pipeline Emergency Responder Initiative Informational Meeting

Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration
October 22, 2020

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) is working with emergency responders, pipeline operators, and other stakeholders to develop voluntary statewide public-private partnerships to maximize response to a pipeline emergency through the “Pipeline Emergency Responder Initiative (PERI).” Accordingly, PHMSA would like to invite you to participate in a virtual informational meeting about a potential Illinois PERI. The goals of the meeting are to discuss the PERI concept and to create a steering committee consisting of representatives from public safety, damage prevention, emergency management, law enforcement, and industry to guide implementation, as appropriate.
