The Industrial Fire and Safety Section is a forum for industrial fire and safety professionals to exchange ideas and experiences, as well as an opportunity for industrial and municipal fire and safety professionals to network. The section gave the industrial sector a voice in the IAFC, and therefore a voice at the government level. The section has become a source for up-to-date information, training resources, regulatory input and equipment information through a network of experienced professionals.
The IAFC Industrial Fire & Safety Section has established a scholarship to provide participation in fire, safety and emergency response training.
Applicants must meet one of these criteria:
- Be assigned to fire protection, safety, or an emergency response role in industrial, local, state, or federal emergency response.
- Have a demonstrated proficiency in safety, or emergency response.
- Occupy a position of responsibility over emergency response.
- Have a demonstrated proficiency in safety or emergency response.
Additional consideration will be given to applicants who currently work in fire, safety, or emergency response full-time as well as current IAFC and section members.
Scholarships will be reviewed in the order they’re received. The winner will be notified when approved.
