WUI 2020 Conference Status

March 12 Update: WUI 2020 is Officially Postponed to November 2020

After due diligence, developing circumstances, and in light of corporate travel considerations continuing to escalate, we have come to the difficult decision to postpone the 2020 Wildland-Urban Interface Conference planned for later this month in Reno, Nevada. Please know that while reported risk levels for COVID-19 infection may currently be low in the conference region, the unique challenges and responsibilities associated with staging large gatherings at the present time remain immensely complex.

The IAFC team has spent the last year planning for another successful WUI Conference, and we are genuinely disappointed not to be able to bring everyone together during the usual time, but the safety and health of our attendees, exhibitors, and staff are top priority. We understand the value of bringing all of our wildland fire leaders together to share impactful knowledge and plan for the continuing fire season. However, we are encouraged that we are able to postpone and bring everyone together later this year.

WUI 2020 will be moved to the first week of November 2020 and more details will be communicated in the coming weeks.

To our attendees, we will automatically transfer your registration to the rescheduled event. Please contact conferences@iafc.org with questions. We will continue to work to answer your queries, but due to a high volume of emails, please allow for a slightly delayed reply.

To our exhibitors and sponsors, we will transfer your contracts, agreements, and existing orders to the postponed event, and our sales team will be reaching out personally in the next few weeks to discuss any immediate questions.

Our team will continue to work diligently to ensure all details are communicated appropriately and we thank you for your patience.

Thank you to everyone who helps to make this event possible year after year, and we look forward to a successful WUI conference this November.
