DHS Quadrennial Homeland Security Review (QHSR)
This review will establish the strategic foundation for homeland security activities over the next 4 years.  DHS is soliciting input from the first-responder community among others as part of a national dialogue on the QHSR. First-responders are invited to participate in 1 or more of the week-long online collaboration sessions that will be held on www.homelandsecuritydialogue.org:

DHS Announces Application Guidance for Over $3 Billion in Federal Grant Programs
February 1, 2008... The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) today released the Fiscal Year 2008 application guidance and eligibility for 14 federal grant programs including the State Homeland Security Grant Program (SHSGP), the Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI), the Infrastructure Protection Program (IPP), and the Emergency Management Performance Grants (EMPG).

Assistance to Firefighter Grant and SAFER guidance for FY08 is expected to be announced later this spring.
