Calling all members! The IAFC has pumped up the energy and the prizes for the 2009-2010 recruiting season. We challenge each member to recruit or refer at least 1 new member today. The more you recruit, the more you and the IAFC benefit.
This year, with our expanded Hook & Ladder Recruitment Campaign, referring colleagues for IAFC membership has never been easier or more rewarding! New for this season are bonus prize levels. 1 free $5 gift card to a national retailer. Call Member Services at 703-273-0911 to find out the featured retailer for this month. |
| Bonus for 5 new members: |
1 free IAFC embroidered polo shirt. Prize value: $50.

1 fully paid, 12-month, IAFC membership. (New Section membership and section membership renewal are not included.) Prize value: up to $275.

Who can participate?
You must be a current Regular, Affiliate, Associate, Departmental, or Life member, both at the time of recruitment of the new member(s) and also at the time the prizes are sent out at the end of each month. You will be considered the recruiting “sponsor”.
Who should I recruit?
Recruit your colleagues, company officers, volunteers, and anyone else you’d like to join your professional IAFC network. We welcome anyone interested in supporting and improving the fire and emergency rescue community.
How do I get started?
It’s so easy! Email your colleagues, company officers, volunteers and anyone else you’d like to join the IAFC. Download a sample email (MS Word file) that you can easily cut, paste, and send. Be sure to remind them to include YOUR full name in the space provided at the bottom of the application so you receive credit.

Can I just send in a referral’s contact info?
Yes! Feel free to submit as many referrals as you can and we’ll handle the recruiting. Simply complete the easy referral form and we’ll take it from there. You’ll receive credit and prizes once they join.
What’s the difference between recruiting and referring?
It’s easy to do both!
Recruiting is promoting the IAFC to potential members by sharing directly with them the benefits of membership and encouraging them to join. We provide everything you need to do this including a sample email that says it all, brochures, applications, even a promotional video. Recruiting always helps further your leadership skills and positions you as an industry supporter and leader.
Referring is providing us the contact information via the referral form for member prospects and we take it from there. Be sure they’re not already a member by looking them up in the membership directory before you refer them.
Either way, you’re rewarded once they join!
- The recruiting sponsor’s name must be provided on the original application form when the application is presented by the joining member.
- The recruiting sponsor must be a current Regular, Affiliate, Associate, Life or Departmental member, both at the time of the recruitment of the new member(s) and also at the time of the drawing each month at IAFC Headquarters.
- You can recruit a lapsed IAFC member as long as his/her membership lapsed at least 6 months prior to re-joining.
- You are not eligible to recruit yourself.
- IAFC will keep track of the number of new members you recruit.
- The 2009-2010 recruiting season is July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010.
- The Top Recruiter will be recognized at Fire-Rescue International – August 2010 in Chicago.
