The Chairman’s Award

The IAFC Hazmat Committee Chairman’s Award was established in 2007 to recognize an individual or organization that has supported the goals and objectives of the IAFC Hazardous Materials Response Committee and has contributed to the advancement of the fire-service hazardous-materials emergency response. The recipient of this award is selected by the chair of the IAFC Hazardous Materials Committee and is recognized for significant contributions in a behind-the-scenes capacity to support emergency operations or for having helped to advance the capability and professionalism of hazardous-materials emergency response.
