Board / Commissioners Responsibilities

This workshop is intended for individuals currently holding elected or appointed positions. We will explore the implications of oversight fiduciary responsibilities. The board is responsible for establishing the organization's strategic direction, managing its finances, and ensuring its operations adhere to legal and ethical standards. Essential duties include formulating mission-critical policies, hiring and evaluating officers, overseeing financial stewardship, and conducting fundraising efforts. The board bears ultimate legal responsibility for the organization's actions and must guarantee that it has sufficient resources to fulfill its objectives.
