Your section has developed a new educational course, Leading the Transition from Volunteer to Combination (LTC), to assist departments that are changing status, whether going from an all-volunteer to a combination department, from a combination to a volunteer department, or changing from a career department to a combination department.
The LTC course can be administered as a three-hour course with one instructor or a six-hour course with two instructors. Requesting agencies are asked to pick up the travel expenses, including mileage or airfare, meals and hotel rooms, if necessary, for the instructors. VCOS will attempt to assign local instructors, but that may not always be possible.
The on-site delivery of this course is a shared expenditure for the VCOS and the host department. Exact cost sharing amount will be determined at the time of proposal by the host. Local hosts may choose to charge a registration fee for students to attend or obtain sponsors.
