NFA EFO Program Application Period is Open
The U.S. Fire Administration announced that the application period for the National Fire Academy’s (NFA) Executive Fire Officer (EFO) Program opened on August 3. Applications will be accepted August 3 - 31, 2026 or when the first 500 applications are received — whichever come sooner.
Please use course code R5300 when applying.
Applicants will be notified of their accept/non-accept status by December 2027.

Please invite your Senators and Representatives to meet you at your fire station or meet them in their state or district office. This is a great time to establish a working relationship with your elected officials in Washington.
