Session information:
From physical readiness to mental resilience, we know the academy shapes more than technical skills.
Join us as we discuss how early wellness messaging impacts lives and careers long after recruit school ends. Together, we’ll explore how academies can better equip recruits to manage stress, maintain healthy relationships, support their physical health, and build habits that contribute to career longevity and healthy lives.
We’ll also examine how the culture and expectations established during recruit training influence what firefighters come to view as normal, and how intentional early education can create healthier careers from the start.
Logistics:
The 90-minute session will be held via Zoom on Thursday, June 18, beginning at 11:00 AM ET. There will be roughly 60-minutes of focused discussion, led by our guest speakers, followed by Q&A with session participants.
Registrants will receive a calendar invite with the join information within 24-48 hours of registering and no later than 10 AM on June 18. Please provide a valid email address so you can be contacted. If the email address you submit includes any typos or an invalid domain, you may not receive the calendar appointment/join information for this session. Check your entry carefully as we cannot guarantee we will be able to correct any errors for you.
