The IAFC Hazmat Center recently launched a new rail-response class in the Learning Academy. The class, The Rural Response to Rail Incidents, is a two-hour, awareness-level, online course on responding to rail incidents with hazardous materials.
This training is designed to help you better understand the rail industry, response efforts and agency-specific roles should a train derailment or similar incident occur in your area. It will help you understand the unified and coordinated response activities to a train derailment.
