Are you Adequately Trained for Rail-Related HazMat Incidents?

The International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) is conducting a national hazardous materials emergency response training gap-analysis focusing on rural emergency first response operations to railroad incidents. The results of this analysis will help inform an assessment that will identify emergency response hazmat training gaps and needs, as well as suggestions on how to address those findings.

This initiative's success relies on the active participation of stakeholders with a role in hazmat-related rail emergency response. We ask you to please provide critical feedback regarding your knowledge of, experience with, and barriers regarding training for these incidents.

Data collected is anonymous. Respondents are not required to provide personal or specific department/agency information and we do not collect any data that could trace responses back to an individual or organization.

The form closes at 11:59 PM ET on Friday, June 28.

We hope you will assist us with this important project!
