Fire Camp Scholarships are back!

Workforce Solutions is delighted to announce that we are reopening applications for our incredibly popular Fire Camp Scholarship program. Between 2022-2024 IAFC distributed nearly $200,000 from our federally funded SAFER grant to help Volunteer & Combination fire departments run Fire Camps.

These camps are designed to help departments reach out to their local communities and aid in recruitment efforts by showing members of the community how the departments operate, and what they can offer to individuals who volunteer. Departments that operated Fire Camps often saw a big spike in community awareness and interest.

Funding is now available for a new round of Fire Camps, with up to $5,000 available per department to cover allowable expenses. Download the flyer for more information, or submit your application today!
