On October 30, Terex and REV Group announced that the two entities will be merging, creating a multi billion-dollar heavy equipment and specialty vehicle conglomerate.
For those not familiar with Terex, it is a large corporation headquartered in Connecticut and specializes in a variety of aerial, materials processing, waste, and recycling equipment manufacturing, among other markets.
Of course, REV Group, headquartered in Wisconsin, builds a number of fire and public safety brand apparatus.
Considering how the fire apparatus industry has been in the news here of late, most especially regarding lead times and price increases, we knew this merger would be of interest to the Section membership.
