Chantilly, Va. – The International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) is organizing the second International Fire Operations Conference, 25-27 February, at the Ritz-Carlton in Manama, Bahrain. The prestigious event is being presented by the IAFC in collaboration with the Fire Protection Department, Saudi Aramco; the Ministry of the Interior Bahrain; the Bahrain General Directorate of Civil Defence; and the Directors of Civil Defence of the GCC.
This three-day, leading-edge education will focus on areas that impact the industry: human behavior and leadership; technology and innovation; and operational response for fire service officers and personnel. Attendees will discover a unique opportunity to network with 300+ attendees and hear from expert speakers from the United States, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait and Germany.
Educational sessions will explore topics such as fixed fire protection systems, vapor cloud explosions, fire truck accessibility solutions, human behavior under fire conditions, the next generation of geospatial information systems (GIS), urban search and rescue (US&R) resources, post fire investigations and codes, and firefighter deployment on high-rise fires.
In addition, participants will enjoy evening networking opportunities at dinner and a tradeshow featuring the latest services and technology available for the fire service.
“This year’s International Fire Operations Conference in Bahrain will build on last year’s success and exceed attendee and exhibitor expectations,” said Chief Dan Eggleston, IAFC president and chairman of the board. “We are very proud to offer these educational opportunities in collaboration with Saudi Aramco, the Ministry of the Interior Bahrain, the Bahrain General Directorate of Civil Defence, and the Directors of Civil Defence of the GCC.”
