Illinois Mutual Aid
Illinois is the home of the Mutual Aid Box Alarm System (MABAS), which is very successful in the state for providing mutual aid services across jurisdictions through a uniform standard and agreement process.  MABAS provides pre-designated running cards for local jurisdictions for various potential incidents and is a major contributor to mobilizing assets for assistance to regional and statewide disasters.
