USFA Announce Annual Summit for Fire Prevention and Control on October 7

This week, the U.S. Fire Administration announced its plans to host the Annual Summit on Fire Prevention and Control on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. The Summit will bring together the leaders of federal agencies, including Chief Donna Black, the Acting U.S. Fire Administrator and IAFC President (2022-2023); national fire service leaders, including Chief Trisha L. Wolford, the IAFC President and Board Chair; fire service personnel; and a virtual audience of up to 2,500 fire service professionals. The summit will include lessons learned from major national emergencies in 2025 and updates on developments in the following fields: Emergency Operations, Health, Wellness, Safety and Survival, Training and Competency, and Community Risk Reduction.

IAFC members are encouraged to attend this important event virtually if they cannot attend in person. In order to attend this summit in-person or virtually, you have to register online.
