WUI 2020 Conference Status

WUI 2020 is Going Digital

The IAFC Board has made the difficult decision, acting out of an abundance of caution for the safety and health of our attendees, exhibitors, customers and staff above all else, to cancel the 2020 Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI) Conference that was rescheduled from March to November 2-6, 2020 at the Peppermill Resort to be replaced with Virtual WUI.

The WUI conference program committee, the Wildland Fire Policy Committee and the IAFC staff have spent the last year planning for another successful WUI and are disappointed not to be able to bring everyone together in person. The importance and value of this conference have not been lost, and plans are currently in the works to create a virtual WUI event to be held in November. Details about Virtual WUI will be shared via email, social media, and the WUI website as they are developed.;

All currently registered attendees have three options regarding their existing registration funds:

  • Defer your current registration to WUI 2021, scheduled for March 23-25, 2021 at the Peppermill Resort in Reno, NV.
  • Donate your funds to the IAFC, a non-profit 501c3 corporation, allowing the IAFC to continue to support wildland fire programs and the communities they serve.
  • Request a full refund.

All hotel reservations have been canceled by the Peppermill Resort.

Please contact us if you have any questions. We will continue to work to answer your inquiries, but due to a high volume of emails, please allow for a slightly delayed reply.
