2026 Election
The Industrial Fire and Safety Section (IF&SS) is announcing the opening of the 2026 board election process. If you’re a current section member interested in serving on the board, please read the following information carefully.
The IF&SS board consists of a chair, vice-chair, and five at-large board members. All are elected by section membership. Applications must be received by Friday, March 20, 2026.
Open Seats
There is one (1) seat up for election this year: At-Large member
The seats are for a three-year term through August 2029. Those who receive the most votes in each category will be elected to the positions. Candidates must:
- Be a regular, associate, and or life member in good standing of the IAFC and the section.
- Be available to attend the annual meeting and participate in monthly conference calls.
- Work on projects assigned by the chair/board members.
Ballot Requirements
Please provide the following information to be placed on the ballot:
- Your name, address, phone, fax, and email address.
- A statement explaining your qualifications and desire to serve as a board member. This statement will be included on the online ballot and is restricted to 150 words.
- Your department or company name, and your position or title.
- Your supervisor’s name, phone number, and email address so we may verify your information.
- A current résumé.
- Your division.
All of the above-mentioned information is required to qualify as a candidate.
