Chief Ben Kaufman

MCFRS

Kaufman Bio:

Assistant Chief Kaufman has 35 years of experience in emergency medicine, technical rescue, firefighting, and critical care. He currently serves as the Chief of the Emergency Medical and Integrated Healthcare Services Section with MCFRS. Chief Kaufman has led multiple initiatives to expand EMS operations, advance clinical care practices, and contribute to the body of knowledge of prehospital medicine. Prior department assignments include oversight of the staffing and scheduling office, training and quality management at the communications center, and field supervision. Chief Kaufman is a registered nurse and paramedic, and holds a BS in Emergency Health Sciences.

Lee’s Summit Fire Department (MO)

York Bio:

Dave York is the Assistant Chief of EMS for the Lee’s Summit Fire Department in Missouri, serving a community of approximately 110,000 residents from seven stations. With more than 30 years in the fire service and a paramedic since 1993, he focuses on advancing EMS delivery and innovative response models. Chief York serves as Chair of the Mid-America Regional Council for Emergency Response (MARCER) and was recently appointed to the Missouri State Advisory Council on Emergency Medical Services, helping guide EMS system improvements across the state.
