Where to Begin
- Test out your IAFC username and password by logging in to the IAFC website.
- Check out your profile on KnowledgeNet, your online networking community for IAFC members only.
- Review the current discussions, start a blog, check out the resource library (“Recent Shared Files”), and look up fellow members in the directory.
- Know your IAFC division.
- Confirm your contact information, including your email address.
- If you need to make changes to your profile, you may do so online by visiting the online member portal. Under "IAFC Membership" in the upper left, click "Member Portal." You may also call Member Services toll free at 866-385-9110 or email membership@iafc.org.
What to Watch For
- Emails from the IAFC
- You should receive several emails from us per month including member alerts about current fire and emergency issues, professional development opportunities, and your iCHIEFS newsletter. If you are not receiving emails from us consistently, please do the following:
- Check your spam folder
- Confirm your email address is correct in your member record
- Confirm that “iafc.org” is an approved domain with your email provider
- Your issue of iCHIEFS news delivered to your inbox
- Your issue of Bugle Brief delivered to your inbox
- Notifications in the mail about upcoming professional development opportunities
- Topics of interest being discussed on KnowledgeNet
- Emails and mailings from your IAFC division
- Emails and mailings from your IAFC section(s)

Use the IAFC website as your source for anything regarding:
- Your membership
- News on legislative issues and hot topics in the fire and emergency community
- Updates on IAFC-sponsored initiatives and programs
- Professional resources that will assist you in your day-to-day operations
- Networking and educational events
- Career opportunities
Use the search function in the upper right corner to find what you're looking for.
