The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has launched a new website that offers information about dangerous products.
Firefighters, fire officers and EMS workers should use SaferProducts.gov to report hazardous products that cause fires and injuries to help initiate investigations and protect the public. Reporting product safety incidents through this new, easy-to-use site will help CPSC identify product hazards quicker and provide consumers with safety information on products in and around the home.
Anyone can also now search the database to read recall notices and reports of product hazards from consumers, hospitals, paramedics and others. The searchable database contains information on hundreds of dangerous products including baby products, appliances, toys and electronics.
