Preventing Deaths and Injuries to Firefighters Working at Strip Mall Fires
Firefighters are at significant risk of injury or death when fighting fires in strip malls. Strip mall fires are low frequency, high-risk incidents due to a variety of construction features. To minimize the risks of fighting fires in strip mall occupancies, NIOSH has recommended precautions that fire departments should take.
